West Leigh pick up first Win of SCFL Season with 4-2 victory over Shoebury

West Leigh overcame an early setback to beat Shoebury 4-2 at Deanes. Shoebury took the lead after 2 minutes with Adem Beji scoring his 3rd goal of the season. West Leigh fought back with goals from Nelson and Mahbhir giving them the lead midway through the first half. Shoebury equalised with a Ben Wylie header from a freekick only for West Leigh to retake the lead through Jude King just before half time.
The second half was a tighter affair with both sides missing good chances to score before Nelson scored again to seal a 4-2 victory for West Leigh and earn their first win of the season.

Leigh Road's scheduled game with ATF was postponed until 23rd November due to Rugby World Cup fever limiting availability for the two teams.
