SCFL Eases Back into Post Lockdown Football

By Matthew Verrinder

2020/21 SCFL League Season cancelled following Covid impact but friendly games to return following Lockdown easing

The SCFL took the decision in early March 2021 to cancel the 2020/21 SCFL League Season in it's entirety due to Covid Lockdowns causing the loss of so much of the season.

However following the news of the government Lockdown easing from 29th March, SCFL managers are tentatively looking at returning to some friendly football games in the coming weeks. Club Managers and Covid representatives are drawing up relevant Risk Assessments according to Government and FA guidance to make the return to play as Covid secure and safe as possible.

It will be such a blessing to see everyone again and remind ourselves of the joy of friendship, faith and football once again!!
