Shoebury Baptist hosted a brilliant charity fundraising game on Saturday with SCF and Leigh Rd players making up the opposition.
The funds raised all go towards the medical costs of the little girl who attends Shoebury Baptist with her family - the £220 collected equates to a whole months worth of medication! A fantastic and much appreciated contribution!
The game itself was very relaxed with the Shoebury XI pulling clear in the first half to lead 6-2 at HT; Ben Wylie scoring the pick of the goals with a half-volley from 35 yards out!
The teams were swapped about at HT with a complete mix of SBC, SCF and LRBC players on both sides. The Shoebury XI ended up the victors with more goals for both teams in the second half - Keegan Walters the game MVP.
The match was played in fantastic spirits and showed just what the SCFL is all about!
Thanks to everyone involved!
